Salmon farmA second case of infectious salmon anaemia (ISA) has hit Shetland, the Government has announced.  It was confirmed on a separate farm within the existing control zone in the south-west of the islands and close to the source of the first infection. The farm, owned by Hjaltland Sea Farms Ltd will be depopulated as quickly as possible.

Statutory movement restrictions have been placed on all sites in the zone and in a wider surveillance area.  The Hebrideans have been chattering on about this on the Incredulous Eye blog.
